Summary

The Luxembourgish Estonian Society organises events with an Estonian flavour for Estonians and other nationalities in Luxembourg. The society was founded on 31 January 1998 and it has around 100 members. The total number of Estonians in Luxembourg is almost 350 (read about the ad hoc census of 2008 here). Membership is open to everyone, regardless of their nationality.
 
The main events during the year include the celebration of Estonian Independence Day (24 February), Midsummer's Eve Bonfire (23 June) and the Christmas Party. In addition, numerous visits have been made to local wine cellars and regular walks are organised to the surrounding countryside.
